Your Family's Guide to Email Using Outlook Express

Another Way to Create a Message Rule

You are here:
Internet Family Fun Home > Internet Help > Guide to Outlook Express for Email Help > Another Way to Create a Message Rule

Wait! There is an easier way to do this if you have an email from the person that you want to create a rule for - in our case we will create a rule for Mom's friend, Jane from her email.

Open Jane's email.

Click on Message and then Create Rule from Message

Now part of the information is filled out for you. All you will have to do is to enter that you want it moved to a folder and which folder, plus name the rule.

Now that you have folders set up and rules to automatically send your email to the folders, when you open Outlook Express, you will see your new folders under your inbox.

Next we will set up rules to automatically send email to the deleted items folder.
