Software That Will Monitor What Your Child Does Online
If you need to find out what your children have been doing online and on the computer, then you will need monitoring software. There are different types available and the specific use that you need will determine which one is best for you. Personally, I would rather discourage inappropriate use of the computer with my children, but as a parent, the time may come where you need to find out what is going on with your child. These programs will accomplish that.

Nalsoft AIM Log Manager is a very reasonably priced product that allows you to monitor your child's activity on AIM.
The best solution if you want to limit and/or monitor AIM (AOL Instant Messenger). It not only records conversations but it also includes the ability to limit dangerous features on AIM and set up a schedule for when they are allowed to chat.
