Here are some fun sites for girls filled with fun, games and information.
Go Girls Only
This site is a part of Girl Scouts USA. It has a lot for any girl, including Ask Dr. M, games, quizzes, a girl talk section and some great tips to celebrate any day of the year.
American Girl
The American Girl doll has a great fun section for girls. It includes a scavenger hunt, Amelia's Desktop that has tons of fun and paper dolls you can dress online.
Disney Online
Filled with fun and games of all things Disney. This site is quite extensive and contains a family fun section plus educational games. The Disney Blast section is only available through a paid subscription so it may be disappointing to your kids if you don't want to pay for more fun.
Baby-sitters Club
The famous series of books has a great Web site. Get tips, play games, take quizzes and learn get baby-sitting tips.
Barbie
Includes computer fun, games, and you can even dress Barbie in whatever you want online. This is an extensive site and will amuse for hours.
Orisinal
Tons of high-quality games that you can play online. My favorite is Pocketful of Stars where you are a girl and you have to jump and catch stars before time runs out. The only problem with the site is that there are just icons to go to the games so sometimes it is hard to remember which is which. (Pocketful of Stars mentioned above is the moon.)
Cartoon Network
Fun and games with your child's favorite cartoon characters including shows specifically aimed at girls. Includes a parent guide that includes their mission and what parents should be aware of.
Primary Games
Educational games designed by teachers that are fun. The grade level of the games only go up to fourth grade level so older girls may feel it is too young for them.
National Geographic Kids
Creature features, games and much more. The activities and experiments page can keep you amused for days. I especially like the homework help and kids news sections that make this a well-rounded site.
Exploratorium
The museum of science, art and human perception. Although this is an educational site and doesn't have games, it is truly fun for curious boys. It is like visiting a hands-on children's museum from your home.
